They don't usually score much but they enable you to hook onto other words.To play Scrabble you don't need to know the meanings of all the two letter words. If you want to know that "ai" is a three toe sloth or that "QI" is a life force then that is okay. It may help you to remember them more easily. There are two different versions of mugs. One is for the USA, Thailand, Israel, and Canada. That is the US version. The other is the international version. This has additional words and is the list used in tournament play and the rest of the world except for the countries listed above.

My mother enjoyed Scrabble and one of the presents my sister made for her was a bird house. She bought Scrabble tiles off of Ebay and glued the tiles on the outside of a birdhouse. She used the names of the people she frequently played with, and personalized it with other things our mother enjoyed. She used a hot glue gun to ensure the tiles were permanently in position.
